Barielle - Wanna Samba?

Today I'd like to share my thoughts on Barielle's *Wanna Samba? from the Carnival Fiesta collection.  The following pic shows two coats, shot outdoors on a sunny day.
To my eye, Wanna Samba? is a shimmery duochrome, reading greenish-grey in some light and pinky-purple in others.  It is unique to my collection and really pretty.  It applied quite easily, with a rather thin formula, and was opaque in two coats.  The only flaw to this polish was that it chipped VERY easily.  It looked great, as pictured above, on the day of application but after showering the very next day, HUGE chips of polish had come off on most nails.  I was really disappointed.  I did not apply top coat which, of course, would have extended the wear but I did use base and found that compared to other polished I've used without top coating, this chipped far easier than most.  A bummer, for sure.  It's a really pretty color and next time, I will top coat it, for sure.

Your nails are just so pretty, no matter the color. I actually have mine polished right now (should have warned you, hope you were sitting down.) I've got several coats of Neptune Glow in the Dark by American Apparel on all but my "accent" ring finger nails (see, I'm learning!!) which are Moon Glow in the Dark (again, AA), all topped with 2 coats of Opal Glitter from Sinful Colors.

Shocking, I know. Amazing what you'll do when trying to recover from all this kidney junk. ;-)

But of course I had to do the Glow in the Dark. Gotta be FUN as well as pretty if I'm going to worry with it. Enjoy the idea, my friend. Starting next week it's back to work and nude nails again. Just work with my hands too much to be able to keep them painted without being chipped constantly.

I know you'd love a picture, but I don't have a way to do it. I'm sure you've seen the colors, so IMAGINE!! lol Love you!!

Sounds SO pretty! I actually have NOT seen those colors but I'll google some swatches. The only glow in the dark polish I have is like DECADES old and I can't even identify the brand. Sounds like tons of fun, though.

Love you, MORE! xo
