Dr.'s REMEDY Enriched Instant Cover

I thought long and hard before choosing a name for this blog. I wanted it to be simple and easy to remember but I also wanted it to clearly define the blog's intents and purposes. When I decided on the name "Got Polish?" it was intended to refer to, for the most part, nail polish. However, as Merriam-Webster's Dictionary defines it, polish is also "freedom from rudeness or coarseness" as well as "a state of high development or refinement." I like this...a lot. It gives me the freedom, when I so desire, to stray from my typical "nail polish mold" and venture into other territories. Today, I will do just that.

I was given the opportunity to review *Dr.'s REMEDY Enriched Instant Cover. Unfortunately for review purposes, I do not have any highly visible markings on my body that I wish to cover up.  Though I think this product would be wonderful for evening out one's skin tone and giving a smoother overall appearance, that would not provide a very dramatic visual demonstration.  Therefore, I had to sort of create my own.  I began by drawing a heart on my thigh with black eyeliner pencil, as seen here:
Perhaps not the BEST demonstration but a crude makeshift "tattoo" was the best I could come up with. Then I applied the product as directed. Here's how that turned out:
As you can hopefully see (lord, I really want my photography skills to improve), the product worked quite well in covering up my "art". Though the image did not disappear completely, it certainly masked it's appearance significantly. Before you ask, I did NOT rub the product into my skin for fear of altering the results by "smudging" or "removing" the pencil marking by friction. The product did all the work. I simply dabbed it on with the sponge applicator and patted it in lightly. The product was very smooth and creamy and quickly blended in to a natural-looking finish. Here is a shot of the actual product:
and the sponge applicator:
In retrospect, I should have chosen to review this item in Light (I chose Medium). While it didn't cover up my "flaw" completely, as I said, it certainly lessened its appearance. It is not necessarily a product that I, personally, would purchase (I just don't have much need for it at this juncture in my life. I'm 38...give me a few more years and we'll revisit this, lol) but for those with unwanted tattoos, spider veins or any other imperfections they would like to hide, I think it would work quite well. As always, feel free to share your thoughts and, if you so desire, check out Dr.'s REMEDY on Facebook by clicking HERE.
