FingerPaints Shredded Chrome Collection

Hola!  Today, I'd like to share the new FingerPaints Shredded Chrome Collection. Feast your eyes!
From left to right: Stardust Blush, Metallic Moondust, Stargazing Lilac, Crystalline Crush, Gilded Chrome

This collection is comprised of textured glitters in a variety of colors.  Stardust Blush is a combo of gold and red, Metallic Moondust is gold and green, Stargazing Lilac is gold and purple, Crystalline Crush is gold and silver and Gilded Chrome is kind of a metallic silver with silver glitter.  They applied easily and were opaque in two coats.  I really loved them, despite the rough finish.  However, they chipped VERY easily.  By day two, I found some nails half-chipped after getting out of the shower. Serious bummer.  I did not topcoat these but I might next time to increase wear time.

You can find these polishes at Sally Beauty Supply for a retail price of $5.99 each.

The polishes in this post were provided to me for my fair and honest review.  For more information, please see my disclosure tab.

Zoya - Brooklyn and Monet

Today I am featuring two of Zoya's new spring polishes, Brooklyn and Monet.  First up, a pic of Brooklyn:

Two coats of Brooklyn

Brooklyn is part of Zoya's Awaken collection for Spring 2014.  It is a shimmery metallic, almost buttery in color.  Sadly, as you can see, brush strokes were readily visible with this one.  Otherwise, it's a really pretty color but it's hard for me to not be bummed by the brush stroke thing.  I added an accent nail of Monet on my ring finger.
One coat of Monet added to ring finger

As you can see, I had to show my right hand in this shot as Monet applied horribly on my left hand and, unfortunately, not much better on my right.  In theory, this polish sounded AMAZING, an almost translucent holographic topper?  YUM!  Unfortunately, this polish was EXTREMELY thick and very challenging to work with.  The glitter did not disperse evenly, despite my best intentions, and it just didn't lay the way that I had hoped it would.  Perhaps this polish could benefit from some thinner but since I don't currently own any, it will languish until I can get my hands on some.

Brooklyn is available at Zoya.com for $9 and Monet for $10.

Zoya Awaken Collection: Hudson, Dillon and Rebel

Today I'd like to share three of the six shades that comprise Zoya's new Spring 2014 Awaken Collection. They are, respectively, Hudson, Dillon and Rebel.  Feast your eyes!
Two coats each of Hudson (thumb and ring finger), Dillon (index and pinky) and Rebel (middle)

As soon as I saw these bottles, I knew these would be love.  These polishes each have a beautiful metallic shimmer and applied like a dream.  Nice opacity was achieved in two coats.  Truly a fabulous trio for the spring (I highly suspect these will make a reappearance as my Easter nails).

You can find these polishes on Zoya's website HERE  for $9 each.

Zoya Magical PixieDust - Vega, Lux, Cosmo

Ooh, today I've got some new PixieDust pretties from Zoya to share with you!  This collection is called Magical PixieDust and is comprised of three colors, Vega, Lux and Cosmo.  Here comes a pic!
Two coats of Vega on thumb and ring finger, Lux on index and pinky and Cosmo on middle.

I am such a HUGE fan of Zoya's PixieDust polishes but I was mildly concerned when I saw these. Oftentimes, large glitter makes polishes feel extremely rough and sometimes they do not disperse evenly. However, as usual, Zoya's formula did NOT disappoint.  These colors applied with ease and the holographic glitter really didn't change the typical PixieDust texture much at all.  It was slightly rougher but not in a way that bothered me in the slightest.  They are packed with color and were nice and opaque in two coats.  The only flaw with these polishes was that, for me, they did chip must faster than the other PixieDust polishes. However, what I love about these and all PixieDusts is that you can easily patch the chipped spots without having to completely redo the nail.  Always a plus!

These polishes definitely exceeded my expectations.  You can purchase these from Zoya's website HERE for $10 each.
