FingerPaints Endless Wear Long Wear Color

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Today I'd like to share a new FingerPaints Endless Wear Long Wear Color. This shade it called Been There, Scene It. Feast your eyes!
Been There, Scene It (two coats)

You can probably guess from the pic where I'm going with this. The color is FABULOUS! The blue with shimmer, LOVE. However, I am seriously bummed by the opacity. It is super-patchy after two coats. I know, I could add a third coat and for future use, I will, but I tend to be the type of girl that doesn't go past two coats on polish (not counting any top or base, of course) so I tend to shoot my pics of two coats only. I wish this formula had been better but again, the color is a winner.

Be on the lookout for this collection at Sally Beauty Supply.

Paul Frank Scented Polish

Hello, loves!  Yes, t'is true, I managed to satisfy two of my loves, nail polish and Paul Frank with an awesome trio of polishes I recently purchased from the Paul Frank Pop-Up Shop in NYC.  Take a peek!
From left to right, two coats each of Apple, Lemon and Berry

As you can probably tell from the pic (click image to make it larger), these polishes gave me mixed results.  The Apple gave me amazing coverage in two coats and I probably could have gotten away with just one.  Lemon and Berry, not so much. They were a bit streaky.  And as far as the scented aspect of these polishes, I got a TINY hint of the scents once dry but I was hoping for a bit more *POW*.  Considering that I only paid $4.00 for the set of three, they were well-worth my money, if for nothing more than the fact that they are a great Paul Frank collectible for my collection. (Redundant much, Kari?)  Apple is, without question, the winner for me.

Oh, I should probably mention that these were made for Paul Frank by Lotta Luv.  I adore Lotta Luv lip balms (my other obsession.  Someday soon, we'll get into Kari's lip balm love) so it was fun to try another product of theirs.

My First Juleps!

Hi, friends! For Christmas, my dear friend was kind enough to send me my very first Julep polishes as part of an incredible Christmas gift. Of course, I wanted to share them with you! Feast your eyes.
From left to right, two coats each of Valerie, Shoshanna and Chantel

I had heard a lot of mixed reviews about Julep polishes. They seem to be a love/hate kinda brand. Well, let me tell you, I LOVED these.  The formulas were great, the coverage fabulous.  Valerie, most of all, has my heart.  I absolutely adore her!  (And yes, when polishes are given female names, I tend to refer to them with female pronouns.  I can't help it!)

Have you tried any Julep polishes?  If so, which would you recommend?

FingerPaints - Catch Up Time!

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Hi, loves!  I'm really trying to make a concerted effort to stay more up to date with my posts.  Life gets in the way of my blogging far too often (you know how that goes) but, anywho, here come some FingerPaints pretties.
From left to right, two coats each of You Can Crayon My Shoulder, Gogh with the Flow, Color Me Abstract

From left to right, one coat each of Still Life Strawberry, Daubigny's Garden, Violaceous Vase

From left to right, one coat each of Think Outside the Box, Sterling Sculpture, You Gotta Be Kitsch-Ing Me, Such a Fake

Let me get right to the point.  The polishes in the first pic are FAB-U-LOUS.  I loved each and every one.  Great application, awesome coverage, just loves!

Photo two also contains three winners in my book.  I know, more glitters that Kari loves, how can this be?  But it's TRUE!  Violaceous Vase is my favorite with it's shimmery sheer overlay.

Photo three actually contains my least three favorites.  They're nice but didn't wow me.

Overall, out of these ten polishes, I would most highly recommend the first six.

The polishes used in this post were provided for my honest review and consideration.

Sally Hansen Glitters

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Hello, lovelies!  Today I have some glitters from Sally Hansen to share with you.  Let me get right to the pic (please click the image for a bigger pic).
From left to right: One coat each of Over the Rainblue, Blue Moonlight, Meteor Light and Goldi-Flecks

Over the Rainblue is a Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure polish and the remaining three are from the Sally Hansen Big Glitter Topcoat collection.  If you're a frequent reader of this blog, I'm probably about to shock you.  I actually kind of liked these.  This is by no means my attempt at disparaging Sally Hansen as I generally love their products.  It is actually a big compliment to them as I generally HATE chunky glitter polishes.  Too hard to apply, too hard to remove, just not my thing.  However, all things considered, I got really great glitter dispersement from these polishes and they were actually easier to remove than most chunky glitters.  Imagine that, chunky glitters getting a thumbs UP from me?  It's true, you read it here!

The polishes used in this post were provided for my honest review and consideration.

FingerPaints Pretties

*PRESS SAMPLES*

Hello, friends! T'is I, Slacky T. Slackerton. Sorry for the lack of posts, lately. I'm going to try to get things swatched and posted more promptly this year. We'll see how that goes.  ;) Anyhoo, here come some pretties from FingerPaints.

From left to right: Urban Lights (two coats), Dance Floor Diva (two coats), Hey Mr. DJ! (three coats), Hey Mr. DJ! (two coats) topped with Dance Floor Diva (one coat).

From left to right: Paint the Town Purple (two coats), In the City Lookin' Pretty (two coats), What a Night (two coats), What a Night (two coats) topped with In the City Lookin' Pretty (one coat).

As one might expect, there are some real gems in this collection and some colors that are not my cup of tea.  The highlights, for me, are Urban Lights and What a Night.  Hey Mr. DJ! is another winner, though it bummed me out slightly that it required three coats for the type of coverage I like. Paint the Town Purple is a stunner but I think it would work far better as a top coat as it is VERY sheer.  If you're a frequent reader of this blog, you can probably guess my opinion on Dance Floor Diva and In the City Lookin' Pretty. Yeah, I'm just not a chunky glitter fan. Too labor-intensive to both apply and remove, just not my thing.

You can find FingerPaints polishes at Sally Beauty Supply.
