High on Hope

I picked up a GORGEOUS blue Orly polish with pinkish shimmer at Marshalls the other day and immediately, it had my heart.  But, when I saw it was called High on Hope (hope being my favorite word), I knew it was kismet that had brought us together.  Feast your eyes:
Two coats, shot in my front yard on a beautiful sunny day.

Though this polish was quite thick and a bit tricky to work with, it was well worth the effort.  I adore the dark slightly smoky blue and the pinkish shimmer gives it a great extra "something".  It does appear much closer to navy indoors and in the shade but in both instances, I adore it.

I purchased this polish with my own money and at the bargain Marshalls price of only $3.99, it was worth every penny.

Zoya Summer Magical PixieDust

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Hi, butterflies!  Today I'd like to share Zoya's Magical PixieDust collection for summer 2014.  The collection is comprised of three beautiful textured polishes chock full of sparkle and holographic glitter.  Take a peek:
This is two coats of Arlo on all but ring finger and Bar on ring finger

Two coats of Ginni on all but ring finger and Bar on ring finger

Zoya considers Arlo to be a purple/violet, Bar to be beige and Ginni a rose/pink.  Each contains hexagonal holographic glitter as well as smaller sparkly glitter particles.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, I...LOVE...PIXIEDUST!  The texture, which is slightly sandy, gives them a great unique look and I find that these wear EXTREMELY well.  I tend to go days without chips and due to the texture, patch-up jobs are a snap.  These also dry quite quickly, another plus.  Zoya has another winning collection in these babies!

You may check out these and the other polishes in Zoya's ever-growing collection HERE

Hippie Chick Soaps

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Hello, butterflies!  Today, I'd like to share a "new to me" product from an independent company I have just become acquainted with, Hippie Chick Soaps and Scents.  The first soap I tried is called "Crazy Love". Feast your eyes!

First of all, isn't it so pretty?  I love the design and colors!

I used the soap in the shower with my mesh sponge.  It lathered like a dream, just a few swipes across my sponge and I was good to go.  It smelled amazing and I really loved using it.

This particular soap sells for $4.00 a bar, plus shipping.

There is a huge selection of soaps on this site and the prices vary.  Shipping costs depend on the number of soaps ordered.

FingerPaints - Poolside Paradise Collection - Part One

*PRESS SAMPLE*

Today, better late than never, I'd like to share my Memorial Day mani, courtesy of FingerPaints Be My Baby and Surf's Up from the new Poolside Paradise collection.
Two coats of Be My Baby on thumb, middle and pinky fingers.
Two coats of Surf's Up on my index and ring fingers.

I'm a huge fan of foil-y colors like these and I was not disappointed in this duo.  They were opaque and lovely in two coats and packed a colorful punch.  I cannot WAIT to try the remaining four colors in this collection.

You can find these and other FingerPaints polishes at Sally Beauty Supply.  Click HERE for more information.

And Now For Something Completely Different...

*PRESS SAMPLE*

I am SO super-excited to share a new product I received to review for you guys. It is Lisa Rachel Sulfate Free Conditioner and Cleanser. The particular type I chose is Jojoba and Chamomile for Color Treated Hair as I do get highlights.

First up, here's a product pic:

As always, I'm going to be completely honest, I did not expect to like this product.  I tried something similar once (though I don't quite remember WHEN, see what I did there?)  Suffice it to say, I hated that other product.  It left my hair feeling very greasy and I was really bummed as I had hoped to love it.  Well, let's just say that Lisa Rachel blew my expectations completely apart.  I LOVE this product!!  It is, theoretically, a similar product to that "other" brand.  It does not lather.  However, unlike that other product, this one rinsed to be literally squeaky clean.  It is important to follow the directions carefully.  You do have to spend a little more time with this product than with a typical shampoo and conditioner but the results are well worth it. When I was done, my hair smelled AMAZING and felt perfectly clean.  I kept it wrapped in a towel for about twenty minutes then blew it dry and it felt super soft and seemed much smoother than usual.  I have oily hair so I was really pleasantly surprised.  I also never missed the lather as I discovered that after applying the product it to my wet hair, as directed, and then adding an additional splash of water, again, as directed, it had a very creamy texture that honestly felt wonderful.

So, overall, I LOVE this product.  Make sure you follow the exact directions on the bottle when using.  If you give it a try, please let me know your thoughts.  I hope you will love it, too!  For more information on the line or to place an order, please click HERE.
